Nabers
The NABERS initiative developed by the government of Australia to measure and compare the environmental performance of Australian buildings and tenancies has since developed into a global tool aimed at rating commercial buildings to measure greenhouse gas emissions, energy efficiency, water efficiency, waste efficiency and indoor environmental quality.
Thee attraction of the NABERS rating system is that it is based upon actual consumption data for the building (such as electricity and gas bills) collected by network of Accredited Assessors along with parametric building data about a number of other aspects of the building such as its size, hours of occupation, climate location and density of occupation.
