Carbon.Climate.Certified put their WELL Building Standard accredited professional status to good use when employed by Shiying Property London Ltd to review opportunities for implementing WELL standards on a major office refurbishment located close to St Pauls Cathedral in Central London.

WELL is a breakthrough American environmental design standard which adopts a performance-based system for measuring, certifying, and monitoring features of the built environment that impact human health and wellbeing, through air, water, nourishment, light, fitness, comfort, and mind. It uses an extremely close relationship with science and technology to drive innovative features to the way we occupy and operated the internal environment of buildings we spent large amounts of our daily lives in.
The client decided to pursue WELL certification following the high demand from prospective future tenants. We are working closely with the design team to ensure that the maximum score is being achieved via the building design and performance, and also with the client to ensure that the relevant policies and operation schedules are appropriately developed to ensure the building operations are aligned to the WELL criteria.
The scheme is targeting WELL ‘Platinum’, the highest WELL Certification. Carbon.Climate.Certified are also appointed to undertake the Post Construction BREEAM Assessments for the refurbishment and the new build extension.
