The University of Leeds Sir WIlliam Henry Bragg Building development is a state of the art integrated research and academic facility for physical sciences and engineering, including the schools of Computing and Physics and Astronomy.

The 15,700 sqm facility sets a national benchmark for world-class research and student education. It aims to foster sustainable growth in staff and student numbers through culture change and collaboration.

The project includes a full refurbishment of a Grade II listed building, connected to a new modern wing designed with low-carbon and efficient features. Despite the challenges of a complex site and the limitations of a historic building, the University of Leeds ensured the facility meets high sustainability standards.

The completed project achieved a BREEAM 'Excellent' rating, making it one of the UK's best examples of sustainable, listed building refurbishment.
