Reflecting on our partnership with Re:Shape

As we near the end of 2025, we are taking the time to reflect on our partnership with Re:Shape, a privately owned B Corporation and fully integrated developer, investor, and operator with a £1.5bn+ pipeline of Co-living and PBSA developments across London and Manchester.

Our relationship with Re:Shape was established through previous successful collaborations with The Collective, where both Robbie Nightingale (Re:Shape, Partner) and Jermaine Browne (Re:Shape, Co-Founder) previously worked, creating an early foundation of trust, shared values, and delivery confidence.

Building on this experience, Re:Shape sought to work with a highly engaged and specialist consultancy that could operate as a genuine extension of their team and work closely with them as their brand and portfolio evolve.

ESG strategy development and implementation

Over the last 18 months, we have supported Re:Shape in developing a clear and practical ESG Strategy that is now being implemented across their development portfolio. The strategy is designed to be action-oriented, ensuring that sustainability commitments translate into measurable outcomes at project level, while remaining flexible enough to evolve alongside the business.

Pre-planning sustainability delivery

Working at pre-planning stage, we have supported Re:Shape in embedding sustainability early, avoiding late-stage interventions and focusing on outcomes that add long-term value. Our services have included:

  • BREEAM strategy and delivery

  • Whole Life Carbon assessment and reduction strategies

  • Circular Economy statements and resource efficiency planning

  • Sustainability Statements to support planning submissions

This approach has been applied across the following projects:

"

At re:shape, we're committed to delivering high-quality homes across all the living sectors. As both a developer and a long-term operator, we believe our responsibility extends beyond responding to the housing crisis alone; it also requires taking meaningful action to address the climate crisis we face.

In Certified, we found a partner that supports us in setting and achieving robust environmental targets in both projects and at a corporate level. The team at Certified continue to challenge us to raise standards, helping embed best-in-class sustainable practices and driving continuous improvement as we grow. "

Robbie Nightingale

Partner at Re:shape

As a developer and operator, Re:Shape is uniquely positioned to take a lifecycle approach to sustainability. Acting as investment and asset manager, development and planning manager, and joint venture partner, Re:Shape delivers projects from site acquisition and funding through to design, construction, mobilisation, and operation. This enables a focus on long-term performance, operational efficiency, and asset resilience, rather than short-term construction-stage gains.

Our work at Carbon.Climate.Certified reflects this mindset, prioritising decisions that improve whole life carbon outcomes, operational energy performance, adaptability, and long-term environmental value. This alignment allows sustainability to be embedded as part of Re:Shape’s core business strategy, rather than treated as a compliance exercise.
